1. To recognize and apply vocabulary associated with personal grooming, as presented in the Unit dialogue.
2. To differentiate between two distinct uses of the Instrumental case, both with and without the use of the preposition з (із, зі)
3. To review grammatical patterns associated with time (hours) and to apply new terms (minutes, seconds) to these patterns.
4. To apply First Group Conjugation patterns to four new reflexive verbs introduced in the Unit.
5. To demonstrate an ability to use adverbs and expressions appropriately in sentences, showing that you understand their meaning.
   

Діялог 14 – Тарас чекає

Синопсис

Оленка в лазничці, а Тарас чекає в коридорі. Тарас чекає, бо Оленка вмивається, витирається й зачісується вже півгодини! Нарешті, Оленка готова й Тарас може йти вмиватися.

Olenka and her brother Taras must take turns using the bathroom in the morning. Olenka takes her time washing and combing her hair, while Taras waits impatiently in the hallway.

Step 1: View Slides --- Listen to Audio Clips

Step 1: View the PowerPoint (PPT) presentation. Listen to Dialogue 14 - Тарас чекає using either the web link given, or the CD ROM provided. Click on the Audio button to hear the audio clips.

Step 2: View Slides --- Listen to Audio Clips --- Repeat

Step 2: Listen to the dialogue again, and echo-read frame by frame, using the audio clips as your guide. This means that you should repeat what you hear after each audio clip. Pay particular attention to the stresses on words and the intonation pattern in the sentences.
