1. To identify and apply common terms used to describe activities with your family at home.
2. To recognise and apply vocabulary which describes the rooms of your home, furniture and household items.
3. To apply the Locative, Accusative and Instrumental Cases when describing the family home and family activities.
4. To illustrate an understanding of verbs related to meal time and to apply these verbs in oral and written form.
5. To discriminate between seasonal weather terms and apply these terms in oral and written conversation.

Синопсис

Іван Козак тепер удома. Оленка й Петрик роблять домашню роботу у вітальні, Тарас спить у спальні, а мама варить вечерю. Вже час їсти, бо вечеря готова!

When he arrives at home, Ivan Kozak wants to know what his three children are doing. He learns that Taras, Olenka and Petryk are busy with activities in different parts of the house. Ivan's wife Halyna announces that supper is ready.

Follow the procedure which is outlined below. You will recognize the View – Listen – Repeat pattern from e-mova: Core Ukrainian 10.

Step 1: View Slides --- Listen to Audio Clips

Step 1: View the PowerPoint (PPT) Slide presentation. Listen to Dialogue 12 – Вечеря, using either the web link given, or the CD ROM provided. Click on the Audio button to hear the audio clips.

Step 2: View Slides --- Listen to Audio Clips --- Repeat

Step 2: Listen to the dialogue again, and echo-read frame by frame, using the audio clips as your guide. This means that you should repeat what you hear after each audio clip. Pay particular attention to the stresses on words and the intonation pattern in the sentences.
