1. To demonstrate an ability to apply Ukrainian vocabulary and sentence patterns into phone conversations and e-mails.
2. To participate in activities which reinforce listening, speaking, writing and reading on the topic ‘We Like To Talk Frequently!'.
3. To review all cases of nouns in their singular form and their use with certain prepositions, and to learn the names of the months of the year in their Nominative form.
4. To demonstrate an understanding of the function of auxiliary verbs with regular verbs, and the use of personal pronouns in the Instrumental Case.
5. To demonstrate the ability to use several new adverbs of time with the days of the week.

Dialogue 8– Olenka 's Conversation

Synopsis

When Petryk cannot find his older sister Olenka, his mother informs him that Olenka is on the telephone with her friend Roman. Young Petryk can't understand why his sister speaks with Roman so often, and shows his surprise with the expression “Again?!”.

Listen to the dialogue again, and echo-read (repeat what you hear) after each audio clip. Pay particular attention to the stresses on words and the intonation pattern in the sentences.
