Prairie Spirit Board of Education:
Serving our communities

Prairie Spirit Board of Education Trustees are dedicated to ensuring students in Prairie Spirit School Division receive high quality education and supports.

The Board meets regularly to oversee and govern the work of the school division. Trustees are well-informed to make good decisions in their important governance role. Board Trustees actively advocate for Prairie Spirit students and champion Prairie Spirit schools.

Board Trustees bring democracy to education by being connected to our communities and inviting different voices and perspectives, which benefits our students. The Board of Education created the Division’s strategic plan for 2023-2026 using feedback from the community. The strategic plan highlights the Division’s values and details the four strategic goals for the Division.

Trustees are elected for a four-year term and represent 11 subdivisions in the school division. The current Board of Education was elected in November 2020 for a four-year term. Board elections will be held on November 13, 2024.

For the upcoming year, the Board of Education has four communication goals for its work for Prairie Spirit students:

  • Strengthen Board communication and connection to the community and partners
  • Enhance the Board’s relationship with School Community Councils (SCC)
  • Strengthen public confidence in Prairie Spirit School Division
  • Champion Prairie Spirit students, staff and schools
